Merchant Application Loader
This automated solution was used to load approved merchant applications from an
internal underwriting system to a back-end processor ( First Data) for merchant activiation. A
windows service, written in VB.NET 2.0, was used to monitor an approved
applications queue, then query the merchant application data from the SQL Server
2000 database and created an specific XML formated file. The windows service
then delivered the XML file via SFTP to the back-end processor for
acknowlegement. After an application was submitted, the windows serivce would
check for an approved file for the merchant application. Once this approved file
was recieved, the windows service would update the merchant application in the
database and send follow-up emails to the merchant. Technolgoies used in this
solution where ASP.NET 2.0, AJAX, JavaScript, Windows Services, VB.NET 2.0, XML, and SQL. |
Charge.com Re-Write
This project involved re-writing Charge.com from a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql,
PHP) architecture to a Windows Server 2003, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and SQL Server 2000
architecture. |

Collections System
This solution was used by the collections department to manage past due merchant
accounts. This ASP.NET 1.1 application enabled the users to search for deliquent
accounts, send automated emails to the clients, print custom letters to
merchants, submit ACH payments, and accept credit card payments. A web service,
written in VB.NET 1.1, was used to reconcile the accounts after ACH payments are
approved or rejected. Custom reports where written to assit the Risk Department
with closing out merchant accounts, when needed. Technologies used in this
solution where ASP.NET 1.1, JavaScript, Windows Services, VB.NET 1.1, and SQL
Server 2000.

Digital Signature Solution
This project was used by several sales offices to allow their potential
merchants to fill out a merchant application online and use their mouse to sign
the application. The ASP.NET 1.1 application used a custom flash element to
allow merchants to sign their completed application and to capture that
signature on file. After the application was complete, the data was imported
into the internal underwriting application. This project allowed a merchant
account to be activiated in hours, rather than days. Technologies used in this
solution where ASP.NET 1.1, JavaScript, VB.NET 1.1, Flash, and SQL Server 2000.

Visual Source Safe Online Integration
This project was used by developers to choose what files/projects they needed
promoted. This ASP.NET 1.1 application utilized the Visual Source Safe API to
determine what files where modified or checked out by user. When a developer
finished a project, they would associate what files where modified and an
automated email was sent to the person in charge of software testing/promotions. Technologies used in this
solution where ASP.NET 1.1, JavaScript, VB.NET 1.1, and SQL Server 2000.

Online Photo Sharing Community
This project allowed users to automatacally upload photos and share comment on
other user's photos. A user would email a photo to a specific email address from
a camera phone or email account. A windows service, written in VB.NET 2.0,
checked the email account and would save the photo, user, and subject into a SQL
2005 database. The ASP.NET 2.0 application would display the photos, along with
the user and caption, and allowed the photos to be commented on. Technologies
used in this solution where ASP.NET 2.0, AJAX, JavaScript, VB.NET 2.0, and
SQL Server 2005.
